Dr. Mohammed Khalid PhD

Dr. Mohammad Khalid is Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies at the General Education Department of Effat University. He holds a BA in Arabic and Islamic Studies (Nadwat al-‘Ulama), a Masters in Usul al-Hadith (Nadwat al-‘Ulama), a Masters in Islamic Studies (Portsmouth) And a PhD in Middle Eastern / Islamic Studies (Manchester). He also a Certified Sharia Adviser and Auditor from AAOIFI.

Dr. Khalid has taught a variety of specialised and interdisciplinary undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Manchester and Effat Universities over the past ten years. Apart from his current teaching assignments, he also serves as the coordinator of Islamic Studies programme and is involved in several academic and administrative processes at the department and university levels

His research interest includes Middle Eastern history, modernity and educational epistemology. He serves as a member and advisor on several research and consultancy committees both at the University and internationally.

Dr. Tahar TAYACHI

Dr. Tahar Tayachi is a mentor for CFA courses (Level 1 and Level 2) and project member for AACSB international accreditation. He is an Assistant Professor and chair of Finance program, He is also the Director of Master program in Finance in partnership with Bocconi University.

The co-founding head of the Master Program at Effat University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He received his Ph.D. in Finance and Accounting from University of Sfax, Tunisia. He has many publications in Corporate Finance, Risk Management and Islamic Finance.

Dr. Tayachi taught many courses in Accounting and Finance in different countries (Tunisia, Bahrain and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) in both languages French and English.

Dr. Faleel Jamaldeen DBA, MBA, CSAA

Dr. Faleel has a Doctor of Business Administration degree from the California University of Business and Technology, USA and MBA from UWS London Campus. He is SAP Certified Business Associate and a licentiate Chartered Accountant.

Dr. Faleel Jamaldeen DBA is the author of Islamic Finance for Dummies Book and editor of Islamic Finance Expert blog which has been ranked as most accessed blog for Islamic finance by major search engines. The blog contains extensive research articles, news and resources for researches in Islamic finance area. The blog has been accessed by many students around the world for their master and PhD thesis. He also published many articles in this area and published in the blog.

He also volunteered as Islamic finance education consultant, helping the students internationally for selecting the best school for Islamic finance, designing the academic path and helping in their researches.

He has carried out consulting assignments for several companies in a wide range of areas in finance and accounting. Dr. Faleel current research interests are principally in the area of Islamic finance and Islamic accounting.

Dr. Faleel is a Certified Sharia Adviser and Auditor from AAOIFI. AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions) is standard setting organization for Islamic financial institutions.  Further he is holding fellow membership with AAOIFI.

Dr. Umar Mohammed Idris

Dr. Umar has a PhD in Islamic banking and finance from the Institute of Islamic banking and finance, International Islamic University, Malaysia. He is holding master in comparative law and also holding bachelor degree in Fiqh and Usual al-Fiqh. He is a Certified Sharia Advisor and Auditor from AAOIFI and he did number of consultancy for Islamic financial institutions.

 

He has published many articles and research papers on Islamic finance in many reputed journals also he has presented in paper in Islamic finance conferences. He has been teaching Islamic finance and law last 15 years in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. Presently, he is working as an Associate Professor in Islamic banking and Finance at Ummul Qura University, Makkah, KSA.
