This course introduce accounting concepts and principles underlying Islamic Accounting standards as well as the different accounting and reporting practices in Islamic financial institutions.  The course introduce the corporate governance structure of Islamic financial institutions and Islamic standard setting organization. The course introduce the basic accounting standards and their application in the Islamic financial institutions. The course is based on AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions), a Bahrain based standard setting organization for Islamic financial institution have developed standard on Islamic Accounting and auditing which is used by many Islamic financial intuitions. The course contents are based AAOIFI accounting standards.
